Focaccia bread pizza with andouille sausage, onions and muenster cheese
I like to stray away from traditional pizza since I’ve been eating traditional pizza my whole life. It’s fun to explore the many options. This recipe was simple and as long as you have an hour to spare (for the dough to rise), you’re good to. Or you can use this yeast-free pizza dough, which I’ve made a few times and is also delicious.
The dough is actually focaccia bread from Tyler Florence’s cookbook and is similar to this recipe I found on Food Network. You can do whatever you want with the toppings: Tomato sauce, cheese, meat, chicken… whatever your little pizza-heart desires. Go crazy.
